Ive heard that I can take classes as a guest (or transient student) at another university or college. How do I make sure that the credits for those classes transfer back to UA?

First of all, pick up a Transient Student Permission Form in the UC Deans Office or in the Academic Advisement Center. Fill out all pertinent information and turn the form in to the UC Deans Office. A dean in that office will check to make sure that the course you are planning to take at another university is equivalent to the course at The University of Akron that you are hoping to bypass. Once the dean has signed your form, it will be returned to you. Then, you must follow the transient student enrollment instructions usually provided on the other schools website. Each student is limited to a maximum of 18 hours of transient credit.
