Ive heard stories recently about bisphenol A (BPA), a controversial chemical found in hard plastics. Do your products contain BPA?
The products we produce are not formulated with raw materials known or expected to contain BPA. BPA is mainly used in polycarbonates and epoxy based formulations. Polycarbonates can be found in a wide variety of common products including digital media (e.g., CDs, DVDs), electrical and electronic equipment, automobiles, sports safety equipment, and many other products. There have been reports that rigid plastic materials using an identification code of “7” (other) contain BPA. The “7” suggests that the product is a mix of resins or a resin that is not currently identified by a code. It does not mean that the product is made of polycarbonate or contains BPA. For additional information concerning FDA’s assessment of BPA, please review the following: http://www.fda.gov/oc/opacom/hottopics/bpa.html.
