Ive heard of Type II CARC, but what is Type III CARC?
Type III is Type II water-dispersible CARC with the polymeric beads in touch-up format. It exists as Type III because the applicator can actually change the performance qualities of the CARC material. As an example, the type of propellant used can adversely affect the material, as can the type of foam used in the roller. Many foams will “strain” out the high solids and affect the IR signature reduction properties. For this reason, products are tested and qualified before being approved for sale. In order to enhance performance even more, MILSPRAY’s products address other issues as well, such as creating the required chemical shear to adquately mix the components. We insert a miniature static mixer into the paint intake tube of the aerosol product to properly agitate component A and component B just before they are atomized.
