Standard visqueen sheet is manufactured from reprocessed and reground plastics. Membranes made using these reprocessed resins have very little chemical resistance and will puncture easily and degrade over time. The only standards that visqueen sheet must meet are weights and measures. 4 mil, 6mil and 10 mil visqueen sheets do not meet ASTM E 1745 Class A standards.
