Ive heard of EMPs “Thermal Kits”. What is a thermal kit and how would I benefit from using one?
EMP’s “thermal kits” are designed to improve fuel economy by 3 – 5%, improve reliability and serviceability, reduce maintenance time and cost and improve the temperature control of powertrain fluids. The kit will consist of electric coolant pumps, electric fans, electronic thermostat, optimized radiators and heat exchangers, along with a feedback control system. A new advanced technology air-cooled alternator will replace the existing oil-ccoled alternator to provide power for all electrical loads. Replacing the mechanically/hydraulically driven cooling system components with optimized, electrically powered devices will reduce the horsepower draw on the engine by over 75%, under full load conditions.
