The Windows Azure platform supports popular standards and protocols including SOAP, REST, and XML. Developers can use their preferred programming frameworks including .NET, and PHP, now. The recent inclusion of Windows Azure support in the Zend framework is a case in point. We have partnered with Soyatec to create Eclipse tooling for PHP developers building Windows Azure applications.
