A great family activity, geocaching involves using GPS devices to find hidden treasure “caches” with coordinates and direction-finding techniques. A cache consists of a hidden waterproof container containing small trinkets and logbook left by the last geocacher. All you need to get started geocaching is a GPS device with programmable coordinates (a handheld GPS is recommended) and a “cache” to find. There are several geocache listing sites on the Internet that can get you started on your quest.
