I’ve heard about changes to the Paratransit disability shuttle as well, what’s happening there?
A. Passengers with disabilities that are unable to utilize the Fixed-Route system because of a disability may use the Paratransit disability shuttle. The Paratransit shuttle is very beneficial to the University and the Laramie Community, but is an expensive service to operate and maintain. In order to sustain our current level of service, fees must be assessed to all patrons of the Paratransit service. Beginning 8/31/09; Students – Rides to and from university/home will be covered by the student fee and buss passes will be available to students at $40/month for unlimited off-campus rides. Single ride and coupon books will also be available for off-campus rides. Faculty and staff – Passes will be available at $20/semester, $40/annually to provide rides to and from university/home. An additional pass is available at $40/month for patrons desiring unlimited off-campus rides. An option to pre-pay for rides using coupon books or punch cards will be available as well.
