Yes – iTunes works fine with MP3 files, but not WMA. Also, please bear in mind that the iTunes Music Store only sells tracks in Apple’s own AAC format, which is only compatible with their iPod-branded players, so if you want to purchase music over the internet, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
