It could be a firewall issue. You don’t need to (and shouldn’t) disable your firewall to use the PC Tool, but you do need to have a couple of ports open: TCP3074 and UPD 3074. Here’s how to open these ports: www.microsoft.com/security/protect/ports.asp It could be your cable. Are you sure you used a crossover Ethernet cable, such as an Xbox System Link cable? It won’t work with a regular “straight-through” Ethernet cable.
