Ive got an underactive thyroid, my doctor has prescribed Thyroxine. Will I still be able to lose weight?

I took thyroxin and did not have good results. I stopped taking it and went herbal (under my doctor’s supervision) and I began to lose the weight and the side effect went away. I take a thyroid herbal blend available at most health food and vitamin shop. I also had to change my diet. There are a lot of veggies that are normally good for you that can slow down your thyroid. Tap water treated with fluoride is also linked to a low functioning thyroid. Good Luck.
