Ive come up with a callsign which Id like to use all over the Tribes community. Can I register it?
You can enter your callsign (along with e-mail address and/or ICQ number) into the Tribes player Registry. This registry can be found from www.datumplane.com. You should keep in mind, though, that this simply informs others that a certain callsign is already “officially” in use. It doesn’t stop anyone from using your callsign, although stealing other people’s names is considered very unpolite. If you register your name, you can inform other “YourCallsign” -players that you’ve registered the name at the Tribes registry, and that the others should change their name if possible. Don’t forget that it is possible these other players have used those callsigns for a long time, just not within the Tribes community. Always try to come into a mutually acceptable solution to the problem, rather than flaming the other person.
