Ive changed the order attributes on my documents, but they haven changed order on the admin screen. Whats wrong?

The order will only become apparent on the public view of the site. Although you perhaps used to be able to see the re-order on the admin screen, this was changed as it caused problems when trying to delete documents. See changelog.
