That bondsman was enforcing the private contract between himself and the “skip” the defendant. If the defendant is out on private bail and he fails to appear in court, the bondsman has the legal right to go find, arrest and return that person to jail. Often, law enforcement must be notified of the bondmans attempt to pickup a skip. It prevents 911 calls stating that someone is being kidnapped. So sometimes the police will be there when the arrest is made by the bondsman only to make sure that there are no problems.

A bondsman helps you get out of jail at a redused price – and he/she is then responible that you don’t run and that you show up in court – on the date alloted – and if you don’t he and his possy’s come after you and quick – and they wont be nice because they will have to pay your bail money

A bondsman is someone that finds people who have skipped out on bail or missed court. His power is differnt then a cop because he is only interested in bail jummpers, where as cops are out for all “bad guys”.
