Initially, the resistance of fibrosis during the healing process may prevent length gains. In essence the devices may only help to prevent shrinkage at this point. Later, after the effects of fibrosis have passed, traction will help to promote additional length. Remember that for some men, length gains through use of the penile tissue expanding devices may be a slow, steady process – possibly only 1/2 to 3/4 mm gain per week. Additional wearing time should equal additional length gains.
