I’ve been told that there can be problems using softened water with aluminium boilers. Is this true?

It does seem that some boiler manufacturers are claiming that aluminium heat exchangers should not use softened water. This view is totally disputed by the water treatment industry and the UKWTA. Please refer to page 4 of our latest newsletter and Aquafact sheet No 11.
