The credit granted at Queen’s for IB English is usually unspecified—it will appear in your transcript as UNS 1UNS (1.0) and as such will count as a first-year credit toward your university degree but not as a credit in English. So you will still need to take a 100-level ENGL course (receiving a mark of 65 or better) to qualify for 200-level ENGL courses. For students wishing to concentrate in English, the Department recommends ENGL 110.
