In other words, you can have majored in something else as an undergrad, and by getting a masters in architecture, qualify to be an architect. The professional Master of Architecture (M. Arch. I) degree, which is the one you want, is an 84-credit, three-year, professional degree program for students holding a four-year undergraduate degree in any field. It prepares students to take the architectural licensing exam and to become practicing architects. Don’t confuse it with post-professional master’s degrees in architecture. Those are for people who already have a bachelor’s degree in the field. You want the professional degree program, not the post-professional degree program.
