Yes! Currently Basalt High School is near its capacity at 403 students. There are two classrooms in modular buildings. The music room serves both vocal and instrumental music, programs that should really have their own classroom space. Likewise, the 2 and 3 dimensional art programs also share the same classroom space and are not compatible in the same space. The Facility Plan has about $2.5 million to construct a 13,500 sq. ft. addition to the current school increasing its capacity to 535 students. This expansion will: • Allow the modular buildings to be removed, • Include a separate 3-dimensional art room, and • Add a new instrumental music room.
