It is said that we use only a small portion of our brain. What are some mental exercises that helps us incorporate more of our brain mass?

Exercising the brain is very much like exercising a muscle. The more you use it, the ‘stronger’ it becomes. The key for mental development is to give the brain/mind new challenges that force it to process novel phenomena and information. These new challenges can be anything from learning a new language to taking up table tennis. Here is one set of mental exercises that some brain specialists have found are beneficial (although I am sure there are many others).
