Each of these books gives some general guidance as to values of different kinds of puzzles. However, there is no “red book” or “blue book” of old jigsaw puzzles. Think about it. At least tens of thousands of different cardboard jigsaw puzzles have been published over the last 70 years, by scores of different companies. It would be almost impossible even to list all the titles, much less list the values of each puzzle. Add the range of conditions the puzzles can possess and the variety of situations in which sales may take place, and the imponderability of such a task becomes evident.
