Isn’t the “Remove Dust and Scratches” filter in Photoshop neat?

Yes, but I tend not to use it for my fine art images. Why? When applied generally to the whole image this filter also destroys fine details and textures. I prefer to manually fix each dust spot and scratch using the healing brush and clone tool. Yes this is laborious, but I show large-format to capture as much detail as possible. I loath to loose that same detail to a Photoshop filter.
