P&G is committed to producing laundry detergents and cleaning products that are safe for rivers and aquatic life. All surfactants in our detergents are readily biodegradable, and have been for many years, as required by law. The small amounts of substances which are not readily biodegradable are inert and removed in waste water treatment with the sludge.
