Isn the Parcel Tax (Measure N) sufficient to support our schools?

0

The Parcel Tax passed under Measure N will raise approximately $1,000,000 for our schools annually. Unfortunately, over the past eight years, the PSD budget was cut by more than $1.3 million dollars and projections will cut more than another $1 million from the budget in the 2009-2010 school year due to the immediate state budget crisis. Without the Parcel Tax, our schools would be in dire circumstances. In order for our schools to provide a quality education to our children and remain competitive, the schools need more financial support than is currently available, even with the Parcel Tax.
