No. The homes will be demolished in order to build a “corridor” between the illegal colony of Kiryat Arba and the illegal colonies in the old city of Hebron and not for any “military imperative.” Moreover, a settler road already exists linking the illegal colonies. In fact, the new “corridor” will be only 30 meters shorter than the existing road. In other words, Israel intends to demolish 22 Palestinian homes – making 110 people homeless – in order to construct a road only 30 meters shorter than the road that already exists.
