Isn stranger rape more traumatic than acquaintance rape?
Not necessarily. Sexual assault is all traumatic regardless of the circumstances. The common thread is that power and control have been taken away from the survivor. In fact, oftentimes acquaintance rape survivors blame themselves more for the assault and have a harder time trusting people in the future. Also, they may have to face the perpetrator in classes or friend circles, which may cause them to continue to have to relive the assault.
