Isn Shiloh Street just some multi-level marketing scheme?
First off, referring agents to Shiloh Street is NOT required at all. We’ve just included that as an extra bonus for agents, if they want it. Unfortunately, when people hear the word “referral” in conjunction with “getting paid”, they automatically think “MLM.” And who can blame them? Many people have been burnt by MLM businesses that use those words, some of them being big name real estate companies who shall remain nameless. Here’s an example of what multi-level marketing IS…… Mark refers Tom to the company and receives a bonus. Tom then refers Judy to the business and Tom gets a bonus. Mark also gets a bonus from Judy because Mark referred Tom in the business, who then brought Judy in. This can go for several levels deep, which is why it’s called “multi-level marketing.” We don’t think there’s anything wrong with this model but we do think it promotes laziness and a get-rich-quick mentality, which is not something Shiloh Street is about.
