By using some sort of “lift” to mount, the rider relieves the horse of the frame digging and clamping onto the animal’s back. The horse is also relieved of having the rider jump in the right stirrup to re-center the saddle. In other words, you make the mounting process nice for the animal rather than something to be dreaded. Q.
