This perception is not accurate. Although mold inspectors do know how to perform invasive mold investigations, when you suspect the presence of mold (i.e. visual water stains or mold growth, a musty odor, or water damage) then there is no need for an inspector to be present. Mold inspections can be unnecessary and costly, ranging in price from $400-1500.
