Isn “Golden Dawn” a registered trademark?
By consulting the US Patent Office Trade Mark records, we found that “Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn” is a trademarked name. The trademark is owned by the Florida-based, nonprofit corporation owned by Charles “Chic” and Tabitha Cicero. We do NOT call ourselves “Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn”, and since the image we use as our emblem is so different from the registered mark, there is no conflict or confusion arising from using the words “Golden Dawn” in the name of our Order or having a cross and triangle in our emblem.
