Isn enforcing educational requirements the responsibility of the accreditation agencies rather than the certification agency?
Accreditation evaluates the overall quality of the educational program. Certification evaluates the qualifications of individuals. ARRT’s competency requirements are intended to assure that each individual has met certain clinical and didactic requirements. Accreditation adds value to the process, but does not serve as a substitute for the evaluation of individuals.
