Isnt eighteen months too young for school?
At 18 months a young child requires more activity and developmentally appropriate stimulation than many households have energy for or the depth of materials available. In a Montessori environment the child has the opportunity for uninterrupted time to practice skills that they are interested in, and surround by his/her peers s/he can begin developing social and emotional skills.
