A. No. COPP did not cover basis risk and was merely a Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) live cattle futures price converted to Canadian dollars. Also, COPP was packaged and sold as a financial derivative whereas CPIP is sold in the form of an insurance policy by AFSC.
