Isn’t converting to a public regional water district the same as privatization?
No. The proposed public regional water district would be a locally controlled, PUBLIC water utility. It could never be privatized. The district would be governed by a local, independent board, comprised of local residents and experts with relevant experience in business, engineering, law or public health.
