Isn congestion charging just another unfair tax on motorists?
No. Congestion charging still allows drivers to access areas that have traffic congestion and pollution problems, it just makes them think twice about doing so, and offsets some of the damage done by their vehicle entering these areas. The money raised through congestion charging would be used locally for transport improvements and motorists would benefit from these as much as everyone else.
