One stereotype of communication is that it’s a “blow-off” or “fake” major. That’s not true at UIC. The major requires the writing skills of a literature student and the research skills of a political science or sociology student, including statistics. If there are any easy majors at UIC, communication isn’t one of them. See Admissions.
