Isnt Brazilian Rosewood banned for export from Brazil and is close to extinction due to the deforestation of the Amazon rain forest?

Unfortunately, yes, it is banned due to previous irresponsible de-forestation. However, all of the Brazilian Rosewood used for these products is “Pre-ban” (pre 1992) and/or “reclaimed” wood from previously forested trees and is 100% legal and non-harmful to replanting efforts.
