Is ZymaDerm safe?
We used ZymaDerm in our own practice under close supervision for over 2 years before making it available to the public. There have been no reports of long term side effects from the use of ZymaDerm. 2 years of follow up is commonly required by the FDA prior to release of a new regulated drug. About 1/3000 persons will develop a sensitization reaction to ZymaDerm that shows itself as irritation, itching, or redness spreading beyond the area of the molluscum or herpes bump itself. If you or your child experience any discomfort or irritation from ZymaDerm, discontinue use. The components of ZymaDerm have a long history of safe use topically for skin problems.
