Is Zolpidem the same as Ambien?
Zolpidem is the same as ambien. The active ingredient in ambien is zolpidem so you are taking the same drug. Zolpidem is only meant to be taken for 2 – 4 weeks because it can be habit forming. I know of several people who got addicted. They started getting anxiety, brain fog and agitated during the day and either resorted to using zolpidem during the day or else ended up taking drugs like xanax to stop the day time rebound from zolpidem etc. If Zolpidem aka ambien works for you then I guess that is the main thing. It is definately the same drug you are taking. Zolpidem is zolpidem regardless of what brand name is given to the chemical.
