Is zicam safe during pregnancy?
I was told by my doc that is was safe while I was pregnant and nursing (I used it during both). She just said to follow the dosage instructions carefully. It is just a zinc supplement. Also, she said that the nasal gel is the most effective as it can better bond to the cold virus where it lives, the mucus membranes of the nose!! It really helped me. I began to get a cold 2 days before my wedding!! I used it right away and my symptoms never got any worse than a teeny tiny sniffle. I also used it before Christmas and I am not sure if I was actually getting a cold or not because no symptoms appeared.
