Is XEmacs really getting ported to MS Windows? What is the status of the port?
Yes, a group of volunteers actively works on making XEmacs code base cleanly compile and run on MS Windows operating systems. The mailing list at xemacs-nt@xemacs.org is dedicated to that effort (please use the -request address to subscribe). At this time, XEmacs on MS Windows is usable for the adventurous, but not yet ready for general public. The first prime time MS Windows-aware release will be the upcoming 21.0.
