Is Wrigley Field a pitcher or hitter friendly field?

It is VERY hitter friendly. The distances down the lines and in the power alleys are short, and there is very little foul territory. Even though Wrigley has lights now, the Cubs still play a lot of day games…and hitting statistics in day games are always higher than in night games. (It’s generally harder to see the ball under lights, even good lighting systems…plus it’s generally hotter in the day and the ball carries better than in cold air.) Also, you’ve got a strong wind that generally blows out the great majority of the season. The only time Wrigley’s really a pitcher friendly park is early in the spring when the weather is still very cold, or if there is a strong wind blowing in from center field. And even then, the small amout of foul territory and the day games generally offset that a little.
