Is witchcraft part of the New Age Movement?
In general, it is not, though some New Age practices have been incorporated into some groups. It is probably natural that some crossover practices and beliefs occur since both hold similar positions of being outside the mainstream. The New Age movement is typified by an openness to non-traditional forms of spiritualism, but it is not a religion in itself. The roots of the New Age movement can be traced to such diverse practices as astrology, channeling, gnostic traditions, spiritualism and others.
