Is wireless Internet access available at East Georgia College?
Wireless Internet access is available for students to use at the EGC Swainsboro campus and Statesboro Center. Wireless Internet access is available in all buildings at the main campus. Students should ensure that their laptop has a wireless network card that is 802.11b/g/n network compatible. In order to connect to the campus wireless network, students laptops must have an antivirus program installed, and the laptop must be current with Microsoft patches & updates. If your laptop does not have an antivirus program installed, you will need to purchase or download an antivirus program. Examples include Norton, AVG, McAfee and Avast. If students have problems accessing the wireless network, they should obtain assistance from a member of the college’s computer services department.
