Is windows xp ultimate edition better than windows xp professional edition?
Short answer: No. Windows XP was sold in two main versions (and one other, less widely used version): Windows XP Home Edition Windows XP Professional Windows XP Media Center Edition Media Center Edition was designed for use in Home Theater-type PCs; as such, it supported features handy for multimedia hardware and applications. The whole split into multiple versions (such as Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate) did not occur until the release of Windows Vista. The so-called “Windows XP Ultimate Edition” is not an official Microsoft product. It is a heavily modified version of Windows XP Professional that includes features lifted from other versions of Windows and interfaces from other operating systems. Since this is not an official product, do not expect standard XP support and you would definately have to use this at your own risk!
