Is windows vista any good?

Vista improved a lot after SP1 was released and if you have 2GB minimum of memory then you will be happy with it. There are a large number of people who repeat the same old lines about Vista, yet strangely don’t have it or use it! Vista is great. Very solid (especially in the 64-bit form, which I have) and fast too. Except for network data transfer rates. Oddly slow. I would say that Vista Ultimate 64-bit is the one to get though – fully supported by drivers for most hardware and ROCK solid. Very secure to. That’s one great advantage of Vista over XP – the security aspect. UAC may be annoying sometimes but apparently, it has more success in stopping rootkits than yr average Antivirus!
