Is Wilmington Just a Tourist City?
No. Quite to the contrary, Wilmington is North Carolina’s largest port, and it’s one of the largest on the east coast. That means big business and healthy commerce for the entire area. Also, Wilmington has a culture all it’s own. Unlike many beach communities along the southeast coast, Wilmington is never a ghost town relying on the tourism to stay alive. There is plenty to do year-round for everyone!
