Is wicked the musical worth going to see?
Like anything else, whether or not you like it is going to depend on your preference. It’s a true singacle, dancicle musical, and while the story is a lot of fun, the main focus IS on the performance – a good cast makes it, but a bad cast would break it just the same. I saw it recently, and wasn’t actually expecting to like it due to who was putting it on, but it was actually a really, really fun, high quality show. Rather than getting a ticket right off, I would pick up a copy of the soundtrack, read a plot summary, and see if you’re interested.
