I’m not sure that this is true but what I do know is that you can add a Mildewside product to your paint to help it prevent mold and mildew regardless of the color. It’s only $4.00 a packet and they can mix it right into your paint at the store. They should help prevent it from growing. I painted wooden windows with this 7 years ago and still no signs of mold or mildew. I would recommend this product and have mixed it into every can of paint I buy. Have a good one..
