Crime of any kind does harm and harm to one person can have a wide ranging impact. It’s like the ol’ cliche. A man gets up in a grumpy mood and snaps at his wife. She in turn becomes short tempered with the children. One kicks the dog on the way out, who turns on the cat, who climbs a tree and requires rescue by the fire department. The other child goes on to school and picks a fight with a former friend, who gets angry and slams out of the lunchroom, knocking over someone else who breaks a leg, requiring emergency surgery by the very man who started all this, the angry father, who just happens to be a surgeon, who snaps at the child’s mother, who…. Okay, I’ve sorta winged this scenario, true, but it illustrates that even small actions can have serious reactions, so how much more impact will criminal actions have. Even a murderer supposedly o
